Many thanks for all your support today at a freezing cold Dunblane Cathedral….the heading was booked and meant to be on, but there was a breakdown of the boiler, hence the baltic conditions! It maybe wasn’t quite as cold in the nave as this picture from the 1800s shows, but it certainly felt like it! 😀
Historic Environment Scotland had an engineer out while we were robing up and choir members probably heard (and felt!) the fans coming on in the church during the service. However, the chill did not seem to affect the quality of our singing for the service, and there were loads of compliments about the singing and the entire service from what was a sizeable audience for a Saturday afternoon in the Cathedral. Thanks as always to Frikki Walker for his superb, inspirational leadership, and to Kevin Duggan for his fine playing, making the all-manual Fentrop organ spring into life.
Next outing will be Dunfermline Abbey on 14 March…watch this space!
