Celebrating ten years of RSCM Scottish Voices

We wrap up this membership year with our highlight event of the year – one could even say of the past 10 years! – singing Choral Evensong in the glorious St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. This beautiful setting will host not only the RSCM Scottish Voices members, but also friends from our sister Voices choirs, RSCM Voices South and RSCM Northern Cathedral Singers. Celebrating our 10th year as a choir in Choral Evensong with maestro Frikki Walker at the directorial helm, ably accompanied by Kevin Duggan on the world-famous Rieger organ, this will prove to be a thrilling outing for all.

The celebratory music really is a singer’s – and equally a congregation’s – delight, our music being from Wood, Rose, Stanford and Finzi. With the Church of Scotland General Assembly starting the following day, or if you are simply visiting Scotland’s capital, and you are in the vicinity wishing to spend 45 minutes or so with us celebrating the glory of God with sublime music, please come along – it’s free, with a voluntary retiring collection in aid of choir funds.

P.S. Don’t forget – we are still open for applications from any interested singers wishing to join our choir, particularly altos or tenors. If interested, contact our administrator via the website by clicking here.
